9-run rally in 8th moves Astros closer to West title

Justin Verlander helped the Astros set a Major League record for strikeouts by a club’s starters, while Jose Altuve’s home run capped a wild 9-run 8th to help the Astros trim their magic number to win the American League West title to five games.
