Conforto leads charge as Mets claim series
On a cold, rainy September day in Flushing, Queens, the Mets made some last-minute lineup adjustments due to the weather that put a damper in the plans — but the offense took matters into its own hands and got the job done in a 6-4 win over the Phillies at Citi Field on Sunday. After a 27-minute rain delay pushed the game back, Jacob deGrom was scratched. Corey Oswalt drew the start in his place and worked three innings while Michael Conforto hit the go-ahead three-run blast in the fifth. Phillies outfielder Rhys Hoskins opened the scoring with a two-run homer, his 30th of the season.
