Abreu hospitalized with infection in thigh
White Sox first baseman Jose Abreu was hospitalized with an infection in his right thigh on Tuesday. The ailment is unrelated to Abreu’s recent stint on the disabled list, according to the White Sox. Abreu is considered day to day but is expected to miss the White Sox series against the Indians.
