Mets appear to be in final stage of hiring GM

The Mets’ general manager interview process, for all intents and purposes, is complete. The team conducted call-back interviews this week with its three finalists: Brodie Van Wagenen, Doug Melvin and Chaim Bloom. Barring the entrance of an 11th-hour candidate into the process, the Mets have nothing left to do but deliberate and make a choice.
