Angels tab Wooten as assistant hitting coach

Shawn Wooten, a member of the Angels’ 2002 World Series championship team, has been promoted to assistant hitting coach, becoming the third confirmed member of manager Brad Ausmus’ coaching staff after pitching coach Doug White and hitting coach Jeremy Reed.
