Peavy bemoans ‘lost opportunity’

In the biggest game of his career on Tuesday night against the Royals — Game 6 of the World Series at Kauffman Stadium — Giants right-hander Jake Peavy didn’t make it out of the second inning, but he and manager Bruce Bochy thought it was more bad luck than poor pitches.
