Verlander spins gem as Tigers cool off Dodgers

A day of dueling no-hit bids turned into a home run derby down the foul lines. Justin Upton’s two-run homer capped a four-run sixth inning off previously perfect Kenta Maeda, earning Justin Verlander a victory for his gem in a 6-1 Tigers win over the Dodgers on Sunday at Comerica Park.
