Cervelli’s season comes to an end
Sidelined since Aug. 26 by a sore left quadriceps, Francisco Cervelli has been taking batting practice and jogging but not blocking balls behind the plate or running the bases. So with 12 games remaining, the Pirates decided to shut him down for the rest of the season.
