Torres placed on MLB’s restricted list

Padres reliever Jose Torres has been placed on Major League Baseball’s restricted list and will not be in camp Wednesday when pitchers and catchers are slated to report to Spring Training. The club offered no further details, other than to say the situation is not baseball-related.
