Phillies done adding players, for now
The Phillies signed two free agents to two of the most lucrative contracts in baseball over the past three months. They signed Jake Arrieta to a three-year, $75 million contract on Monday, and Carlos Santana to a three-year, $60 million contract in December. Based on the average annual value of those contracts, Arrieta’s is the largest deal of the offseason, and Santana’s is the fifth-largest.
