Rangers activate DeShields, place Tocci on DL

Less than a month after requiring surgery to repair a fractured hamate bone in his left hand, Delino DeShields is back. The Rangers activated the outfielder ahead of Sunday’s game against the Mariners. In a corresponding move, center fielder Carlos Tocci was placed on the 10-day disabled list with a left hip bruise.
