BREAKING: Mets cutting ties with Matt Harvey

The Mets will designate right-hander Matt Harvey for assignment, almost certainly ending his memorable career with in Queens. The club requested that Harvey agree to a Minor League assignment, and he declined, leading to the DFA decision.
