Conforto breaks out of funk with leadoff HR

So deep was Michael Conforto’s slump that Mets manager Mickey Callaway gave Conforto two days off in a row last weekend, calling it a mental break for his young All-Star outfielder. Mired in an 0-for-13 funk, Conforto returned to the lineup Monday, and immediately set about proving that he deserves to stay there.
