Hellickson’s bid for perfection ends in 7th
Nationals righty Jeremy Hellickson retired the first 18 Padres he faced before Travis Jankowski led off the seventh inning with a single on Tuesday night at Petco Park. Hellickson finished having allowed two hits and no walks while striking out eight over 6 2/3 innings. He added an RBI double at the plate.
