J.D.’s 1B denies Manaea another try at history

After being no-hit by Sean Manaea in Oakland on April 20, the Red Sox fared better in their rematch against the talented left-hander on Monday night. J.D. Martinez smacked a single up the middle to open the second inning, ensuring that the Red Sox wouldn’t be on the wrong side of history again.
