Moving up: Gleyber bumped to No. 5 in lineup

After proving to be a spark at the bottom of the Yankees’ lineup in his first 30 big league games, Gleyber Torres is getting some recognition from his manager for his hot start. In the Yankees’ series opener against the Astros, Aaron Boone moved Torres up to the fifth spot in the order. With Giancarlo Stanton getting a day off and Didi Gregorius moving to seventh to “take pressure” off the slumping shortstop, Boone thought that Monday’s game was a good chance to slide Torres into the heart of the order.
