First-round pick Beer reaches deal with Astros
Seth Beer, an outfielder from Clemson taken by the Astros with the No. 28 overall pick in last week’s MLB Draft, says he’s agreed to terms with the club. Beer will fly to Houston on Tuesday to sign his contract before beginning his pro career at Class A Short-Season Tri-City.
