Adrianza’s slam propels Twins past Tigers

Ehire Adrianza hit a go-ahead grand slam in the seventh to propel the Twins to a series-opening victory over the Tigers at Comerica Park on Tuesday. Blaine Hardy cruised through six innings, but was removed from the game after 85 pitches after letting up a single in the seventh inning. The Tigers tacked on two runs to pull close in the bottom half of the frame, but the Twins held on to best their division rivals in Detroit.
