Luke Weaver lost a perfect game in the sixth during a career-high eight innings as the Cardinals won the series opener against the Giants. Jedd Gyorko, Matt Carpenter and Harrison Bader went deep for St. Louis, while Alen Hanson homered for San Francisco. Johnny Cueto allowed five runs over five innings in his return from the disabled list.
