Corbin stingy, D-backs maintain NL West lead

Patrick Corbin pitched seven innings of three-run ball and struck out seven, and Paul Goldschmidt and Alex Avila homered to help the D-backs split the series against the Rangers with a win on Tuesday night at Globe Life Park. Corbin did not issue a walk in the outing for his third consecutive start. Jurickson Profar had a double, a triple and a pair of RBIs to lead Texas.
