Astros hit season-high 5 HRs; Cole K’s 12 in win

Gerrit Cole struck out 12, and Evan Gattis and Tyler White each hit two of the Astros’ season-high five homers as Houston rolled to a 12-1 win over the Rockies on Wednesday. The lopsided win coupled with the A’s loss increased the Astros’ lead in the AL West to two games. Tyler Anderson allowed nine runs in 4 1/3 innings for the Rockies, whose four-game winning streak came to an end.
