Plawecki’s slam caps 9-run 6th in Mets rout
The Mets’ offense broke out for 19 hits against the Orioles at Camden Yards. Brandon Nimmo’s RBI triple — one of his five hits in the game — was New York’s third three-bagger of the night, part of a nine-run sixth inning capped by a Kevin Plawecki grand slam. The O’s nearly kept pace in the hit column with 12, including a long two-run homer by Jonathan Villar, but the Mets added five walks and two hit-by-pitches to keep the line moving on the basepaths in a runaway win.
