Rizzo falls to knees on homer to ignite Cubs
Not only has it been tough for the Cubs to score a run, but in the sixth inning, it was difficult for Anthony Rizzo to get out of the batter’s box after a home run. Rizzo launched a first-pitch curveball from the Tigers’ Jordan Zimmermann to right to lead off the sixth on Tuesday night and fell to his knees after the swing. Not to worry, as Rizzo got back to his feet and was able to complete his home run trot, pulling the Cubs within 2-1.
