Alabama has time and the No. 1 spot on its side

The latest rankings keep the Tide in prime position for the playoff, even if they were to lose to No. 6 Auburn in the Iron Bowl. Miami improves to No. 2, but the options are dwindling for two-loss teams such as Ohio State, USC and TCU.
