Athletics decline to extend qualifying offer to Lowrie
Even though they’re without a big league shortstop for 2015, the A’s did not extend a $15.3 million qualifying offer to free agent Jed Lowrie. Subsequently, they won’t receive Draft compensation should the infielder sign elsewhere.
