Back surgery likely to end Victorino’s season
Red Sox outfielder Shane Victorino will undergo surgery on his lower back Tuesday, and the operation will be conducted by Dr. Robert Watkins in California. Victorino was placed on the disabled list Friday, and an initial MRI examination last week pointed toward potential surgery.
