Barcelona lands coveted midfielder De Jong

Barcelona has signed midfielder Frenkie de Jong from Ajax in a deal worth an initial $85.4 million. De Jong, who will join the squad at the end of the season, had been a target for a number of top clubs across Europe such as Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester City and Bayern Munich.
