Bassitt twirls gem, blanks Tigers for 7 2/3 in first win
The friends and family members who made the one-hour trip from Curtice, Ohio, to Detroit to support White Sox rookie Chris Bassitt quite possibly witnessed the best game of the right-hander’s career in a 2-0 victory over the Tigers. A stellar shutout effort over 7 2/3 innings marked Bassitt’s first career victory.
