Borucki tosses gem as Blue Jays blank O’s
The rookie battery mates of Ryan Borucki and Danny Jansen almost single handedly led the Blue Jays to a 5-0 victory over the Orioles. Borucki tossed eight scoreless and Jansen hit a two-run homer as Toronto picked up its third consecutive victory on the current three-city road trip. Kevin Pillar and Aledmys Diaz added solo shots to help power the Blue Jays. The Orioles tied a dubious mark in defeat, picking up their 107th loss of the season, tying a Baltimore record for most losses in a season. They were held to just three hits Monday, but did get an impressive performance out of relief from Sean Gilmartin who tossed 4 2/3 innings of one-run ball.
