Braves sign reliever Johnson to one-year deal

After enduring disappointing stints with Oakland and Detroit this past season, Jim Johnson is coming to Atlanta with the hope that he can once again establish himself as one of baseball’s top relievers. The Braves signed Johnson on Wednesday to a one-year, $1.6 million contract that would allow him to receive up to $900,000 in incentives.
