Bucs beef up bench options with Elmore claim

The Pirates claimed infielder Jake Elmore off waivers from Cincinnati on Friday, acquiring another versatile option for their bench. Elmore, a 27-year-old with limited Major League experience, spent most of the 2014 season batting .281 in Triple-A between Sacramento and Louisville. The Reds had acquired him off waivers in early August from the A’s.
