Cardinals’ Helsley: Tomahawk chop ‘disrespectful’
Cardinals reliever Ryan Helsley, a member of the Cherokee Nation, believes the Atlanta Braves’ “tomahawk chop” chant is “disrespectful” and “devalues” perceptions of Native Americans, the rookie told the St. Louis Post-Dispatch on Friday.
