Cards seal split vs. Crew with 5-run 4th inning
Jose Martinez’s three-run home run capped a five-run fourth inning for the Cardinals, who sealed a split of their four-game series against the Brewers. Jhoulys Chacin allowed a season-high eight runs for Milwaukee after allowing nine earned runs in his first six home starts of the season. Matt Carpenter had a two-run single in the fourth before Martinez’s clout, while Christian Yelich homered in the Brewers’ two-run first inning.
