Cards wrest control of Wild Card spot from Crew

Miles Mikolas allowed one run over six innings, pacing the Cardinals to their 10th win in their last 11 games and control of the second National League Wild Card spot. Marcell Ozuna homered, and Paul DeJong and Harrison Bader each had 2-RBI hits. Wade Miley allowed four runs (one earned) over five innings. In the third inning, Miley struck out Yadier Molina with two outs, but Erik Kratz dropped the third strike and allowed Molina to reach base. St. Louis went on to score three unearned runs in the frame to take the lead for good.
