Cole happy with outing opposite Syndergaard

As is typical with early Grapefruit League contests, the first couple of innings featured frontline starters. Then clubs trotted out an assortment of prospects whose numbers generally started with at least a 5, but more than likely a 6, 7 or 8. Well, it’s not late February anymore, and Houston newcomer Gerrit Cole is glad to be getting in the work.
