Cruz, Albers help Seattle improve WC stock

Nelson Cruz slugged a three-run homer as part of a six-run fourth as the Mariners raced past the Angels. Mitch Haniger had three hits — finishing a double shy of the cycle, as Seattle pulled to within three games of the second AL Wild Card. Angels pitcher Andrew Heaney departed in the third innings with an apparent arm injury. The Halos remained two games back of the second Wild Card.
