Cubs wait out Cole, strike late for shutout win

For the second time this season, Gerrit Cole was at his absolute best against the Cubs at PNC Park. And for the second time this season, the Cubs won anyway. After Cole threw eight shutout innings, catcher Alex Avila ripped an RBI triple off Daniel Hudson in the ninth to give the Cubs a 1-0 win on Wednesday night.
