Fifth seed Pablo Cuevas reached his third ATP World Tour quarter-final of the season on Wednesday as he battled to a 3-6, 7-5, 7-5 victory over Ivan Dodig in two hours and 45 minutes at the Malaysian Open, Kuala Lumpur.
