D-backs’ bats light up to back lights-out Corbin

Patrick Corbin tossed 7 1/3 scoreless innings, striking out nine, en route to the D-backs’ series win over the Phillies. The offense broke out for 13 hits, including four from left fielder David Peralta, who also drove in two. Third baseman Eduardo Escobar added three RBIs, including a two-run double. Phils right fielder Nick Williams made a leaping catch to rob A.J. Pollock of a big fly and prevent Arizona from scoring more. Philly starter Vince Velasquez struggled over four innings, yielding four runs.
