Davis’ first homer of season a lofty 3-run shot

J.D. Davis’ first at-bat at Yankee Stadium is one he’ll remember. Davis, making his second start for the Astros since he was called back up from Triple-A, slugged a towering three-run homer in the second inning of Monday’s game against the Yankees. Davis connected on a 3-1 pitch from Yankees starter Domingo German and sailed it 381 feet into the left-field seats for a 3-0 lead.
