DeWitt praises Shildt’s impact since taking over

Though he wouldn’t speculate about the likelihood of installing Mike Shildt as the club’s permanent manager beyond 2018, Cardinals principal chairman Bill DeWitt Jr. praised the job Shildt has done while leading the team to a 19-10 record, entering Friday’s game against the Brewers, since taking over for Mike Matheny on July 15.
