Eighth-inning rally edges out AL East leaders

After 18 straight innings without a run, the Rays finally broke through in the eighth, just in time to squeeze out a 3-0 win over the Orioles in Friday night’s series opener at Tropicana Field. Alex Cobb struck out six over seven dominant innings.
