Emotional Mauer officially retires at Target Field

Joe Mauer formally walked away from the game he loves Monday, finalizing his retirement with a news conference at Target Field. Mauer’s farewell to the Twins, his hometown team with whom he spent his entire 15-year career in the Major Leagues, was emotional.
