Gary cracks ice, Yanks pile on with 6-run 7th
Gary Sanchez broke the scoreless tie with a 460-foot homer in the sixth inning — the longest at Target Field this year — and the Yankees followed in the seventh with a rally that included three straight doubles from Miguel Andujar (his 40th), Giancarlo Stanton and Didi Gregorius. Left-hander J.A. Happ, who is now 6-0 with a 2.70 ERA in eight starts since a trade to New York, cruised through six innings for the win in what started as a pitchers’ duel with Kyle Gibson.
