Gold Glove Award winners announced

For the first time since the inception of the Gold Glove Awards in 1957, Rawlings collaborated with the Society for American Baseball Research (SABR) last year to formally incorporate sabermetrics as a component in determining winners of the defensive honor. Prior to 2013, Gold Glove Awards were based solely on votes by Major League managers and coaches.
