Guthrie roughed up as Royals drop opener in Detroit

Jeremy Guthrie allowed six earned runs in 2 2/3 innings and a rally came up short as the Royals saw their lead in the AL Central cut to one game after Monday’s 9-5 loss to the Tigers at Comerica Park.
