Hamstring strain sends Polanco to DL; Diaz up

The Pirates placed outfielder Gregory Polanco on the 10-day disabled list (retroactive to Sunday) with a left hamstring strain and recalled catcher Elias Diaz from Triple-A Indianapolis, the club announced before Tuesday’s game against the Brewers. Initially designated as day to day, Polanco will need a bit more time to heal.
