Happ’s late homer lifts Cubs at home
Ian Happ’s three-run homer in the seventh inning provided the decisive blow on Friday night during the Cubs’ win against the Reds at Wrigley Field. Chicago starter Cole Hamels held Cincinnati to two runs over his 6 2/3 innings and struck out seven, and Jorge De La Rosa picked up his first career save with a scoreless ninth. Jose Peraza and Joey Votto hit back-to-back homers for the Reds in the loss.
