IndyCar’s Wickens ‘alert’ after airborne crash

Robert Wickens went soaring into the fence at Pocono Raceway in a scary wreck that brought Sunday’s IndyCar race to a halt for about two hours. Wickens has been taken to a hospital but is “awake and alert,” according to an IndyCar official.
