Jay takes personal leave, expected back Friday

The Cardinals were without Jon Jay for Wednesday’s series finale against the Cubs at Wrigley Field after the center fielder needed to leave town in order to attend to a personal matter. Manager Mike Matheny said the club had some advanced warning about the departure and that Jay is expected back with the club before Friday’s series opener in Arizona.
